What is Green Wednesday?

Green Wednesday

The cannabis industry’s “Black Friday” gives customers a chance to stock up before the Thanksgiving festivities. You’ll be able to find specials galore across all tiers and types of cannabis products. With all the specials, it’s a perfect opportunity to try out that top shelf bud you’ve been eyeing or maybe it’s time to dip your toes into the world of concentrates, the possibilities are endless!

The cannabis industry has seen a major uptick in sales the day before Thanksgiving since the start of legalization. Around 2016, retailers began offering specials to celebrate this unofficial holiday which soon became known as “Green Wednesday”. It’s the second busiest day of the year for the cannabis industry, only surpassed by 4/20. Everyone and their uncle wants a little something for the pre-Thanksgiving dinner walk and Green Wednesday is the day to get it.

With the holidays revolving around family, there are times cannabis consumption has to be kept discrete, this has become significantly easier over the years of legalization. Infused drinks are a top choice among cannabis consumers across the board with water soluble tinctures for higher dose consumers and pre-mixed single serving drinks for a more casual experience. Being around family or hosting can be a stressful event and it may be nice to unwind with an edible. We’re seeing more cannabinoids coming to the market such as CBG to potentially aid in a more relaxed mellow mood in tense times. If you’re looking to potentially help liven up the conversation THCv is a pleasantly energetic contender.

The potential for extra savings opens up the option to splurge and try new products that you wouldn’t normally. If you’re a fan of higher testing products it’s always fun to get a few loved ones together and roll your own infused joint with a distillate syringe and THCa isolate! If you’re looking for something a bit more discrete but still potent; vaporizer cartridges are always a convenient choice for a sneaky hit or two.

Green Wednesday embodies the gratitude that we all feel for cannabis. Take the day to celebrate, spread the love and blaze on!
